Colline Novaresi D.O.C. Vespolina
This peculiar, single-varietal red comes from the vinification of the best bunches of Vespolina grapes from our vineyards.
Vespolina is the indigenous grape variety of Alto Piemonte by definition, the wine we make out of it I s deep ruby with violet reflections when young. Floral and red berries are the main aromas and flavours that complement the typical spicy note.
This wine gives its best if served at a temperature around 15/16°C.
“As the embodiment of our territory, the Vespolina has a very limited extent and it is difficult to grow. In its chemical composition lies the Rotundone, the same molecule on which the peppercorn aroma is based. This explains the traditional spicy footprint that makes this wine lively, fresh and youthful. Definitely a unique wine that evokes bygone old traditions.”
